Harris Residence Hall

Description

Harris Hall houses 196 students (men and women) in both double rooms with community baths and suites with shared baths. Then rooms in Harris are spacious with non-built-in furniture which can be easily rearranged. The building has a common area kitchen, and each room has a combination refrigerator/ freezer/microwave unit. Wireless Internet connection throughout the building is scheduled for fall 2008. Harris houses the Capstone Living-Learning Community (Arts and Sciences), the Capstone Nursing Community, Capstone HES Community, and the Capstone C&IS Community.   These living-learning communities are designed to bring together students with similar academic interests.

Harris is located on the southwest side of campus near Bryant-Denny Stadium, the Quad, Sorority Row, College of Communication & Information Sciences, College of Human Environmental Sciences, and College of Education.

Room Details:

  • Approx. room dimensions: 11' x 14'
  • All double rooms have:
    • two extended twin height-adjustable beds beds
    • two desks
    • one six drawer dresser.
    • Closet is 24 inches deep and 45 inches wide.
  • dresser is 50" x 34" wide x 19 ½ inches deep with 5 drawers
  • windows are 60" long x 34" wide.
  • Window: 42" x 64" (mini blinds provided)
