The Highlands feature furnished apartments with four students sharing a living/dining room area, kitchen, 3 bathrooms (with 1 shower, 1 bathtub/shower, 2 toilets and 3 sinks) and three bedrooms. The large bedroom is a double bedroom and the two smaller bedrooms are singles. The layout of handicapped-accessible apartments varies.
The building is located within walking distance of classroom buildings, Ferguson Center, and Main Library. Only upperclassmen and transfer students may choose to live at The Highlands.
