Riverside Residence Hall

Description

Established in 2005, the Riverside Community houses 966 residents. It is located between the AIME building and Rose Towers, nestled between Hackberry Lane and McCorvey Drive. The facilities include single, double and four bedroom options with a kitchenette and living room. The Riverside Community also hosts a pool, Clubhouse with a Media Center and Game Room, and an Einstein’s Bagel Shop. Riverside Community is home to the University Honors Program students and freshmen.

Room Details

Each 100 square foot bedroom is private and is furnished with the following:

3 drawer chest

Split pedestal desk

Upholstered two – position desk chair

Junior loft bed that elevates to a maximum height of 33 inches from the floor; the junior loft has an 80” X 36” X 8” inner spring mattress (twin extra long or long single)

10 square foot closet with organizers installed

Phone, cable and Ethernet port

Window measurements: Height 44 inches high x 65 inches wide.

Each living room is equipped with the following furnishings:

Fully upholstered sofa

3 multi-use cubes (small shelving units)

1 or 2 Upholstered chairs (actual number dependent on suite type)

Dining set with 2 or 4 chairs (actual number dependent on suite type)

Cable and Ethernet port

window measurements: 87” Length; 62 ½” Height

Each kitchenette includes the following amenities:

Apartment size refrigerator (17 cubic feet) with freezer

Microwave

Wooden cabinets for storage

Shower curtains are provided in each bathroom.

Residents should provide the following:

Cook ware suitable for microwave preparation

Dining utensils

Cleaning supplies for apartment

Wireless Internet connection throughout the building is scheduled for fall 2008. Residents are expected to clean their suite; suites will not be cleaned by UA Staff

The Bed rooms in Riverse East, North, and West all have the same funiture, which includes an adjustable twin extra long bed, a desk, three-drawer dresser,a chair, and a extra desk peice with a drawer.
