The Jimmy Nelson Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Jimmy Nelson Memorial Endowed Scholarship is designed to recognize a Residence Hall student who has excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to the University of Alabama and the Residence Halls. The Jimmy Nelson Scholarship is a one year scholarship. The award for the 2013-2014 Academic year will be $375.00 per semester ($750 total). The recipient will be notified of the award by the end of the Spring 2013 term.

Scholarship criteria:

Recipient must have lived in a University of Alabama residence hall during the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semesters.

Recipient must reside in a University of Alabama residence hall during the 2013-2014 academic year. (If the recipient withdraws from school or moves out of the residence hall at any time during 2013-2014 academic year, they will no longer be eligible to receive the scholarship.)

Recipient must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
